OLD, FRESH, EXCITING AND STILL FASHIONABLE

Growing up I used to find the word ‘Born Again’ Christian very strange,   as I grew older it became clearer but still a little strange, but as I grew much older and became a friend of God I realized it actually meant living a life of holiness separate from the world, but I also realized then that ‘Born Again’ Christians were not living holy lives, they actually love the sin and hate the sinner, rather than the opposite. The problem of our day is that many Christians do not understand what the word ‘holiness’ means, they are confused about the concept of holiness and do not even desire to be holy. Loyalty to God’s standard of holiness has shifted but God still desires us to pursue holiness, because it is old, fresh, still exciting and can never go out of fashion. To be holy is to be distinct, separate, in a class by oneself, It comes from an ancient word that meant, ‘to cut,’ or ‘to separate.’ It means to be cut above the rest that is outstanding, having a superior excelle

RELENTLESS

RELENTLESS It is easy as believers to get weary and tired especially in well doing. But the call to us believers is to be relentless in prayer, in faith, in fasting, and in well doing. It is also said that it is not about starting well but the most important thing is finishing well, and so even through all the hardship and adversity we may come across we just need to fasten our seat belts and go on the ride. But Romans 8: 28, 29 states that ‘ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren .’ So we may not
BASKING IN HIS PRESENCE   I remember as a little girl how excited I often got when my dad came back home from work, I do not know how to describe the feeling but maybe I had butterflies in my tummy, I was always so excited. Oh! how I loved to have my dad around, it was always the crown of my day. Daddy would carry me up so high, well it seemed high at the time, make funny faces, play with me, I would laugh and giggle and smile he was always a delight to be around. I was always looking forward to be in the presence of my dad, but just like many other dads he wasn’t always around 24/7 he would go to work and come back in the evening, sometimes he would travel for days, so he was there but not always there. This is the difference between my earthly father who is now late and my heavenly Father. My heavenly Father is always there 24/7, he is there when I am asleep, he is there when I am confused, he is there when I feel discouraged, he is there in my high moments, he is there at my
